Two washers on one drain?
If a remodeling project forces you to move the washing machine too far from the drain and the water supply for the hoses to reach, you don't have to relocate the plumbing. Lengthening the drain hose isn't difficult, because you can buy a drain hose extension that simply clamps onto the end of your existing hose. If you can't find one, it isn't difficult to replace the existing hose with a longer one. Turn off the water shut off valves and disconnect the water supply hoses from the valves by unscrewing them with adjustable pliers. Put a bucket under the valves to catch any water in the hoses. Measure the distance from the water supply valve to the new washer location with a tape measure. If you want to save a few dollars by using your old hoses, measure their length, then subtract that from the first measurement to determine how long the extension hoses need to be. Add a foot or two of slack to each hose. Purchase braided metal supply hoses of the appropriate length at a hardware store. Wrap plumbing tape around the threads on both ends of the connector and screw the connector into one end of the new hose. Hold the hex nut in the middle of the connector steady with a wrench while you tighten the female connector with adjustable pliers. Screw the free end of the other hose onto the other side of the connector and tighten it the same way.

A combo washer dryer also known more simply as a washer-dryer in the UK is a combination in a single cabinet of a washing machine and a clothes dryer. It should not be confused with a "stackable" combination of a separate washing machine and a separate clothes dryer. Combination washer dryers are popular amongst those living in smaller urban properties as they only need half the amount of space usually required for a separate washing machine and clothes dryer , and may not require an external air vent. Additionally, combination washer dryers allow clothes to be washed and dried "in one go", saving time and effort from the user. Many washer dryer combo units are also designed to be portable so it can be attached to a sink instead of requiring a separate water line.
